Our History

 

Beacon Academy (Primary)

Beacon Academy is a new primary school in Sunter-Podomoro, Jakarta receiving enrolments for primary 1 – 3 for the academic year 2009 - 2010. Having started in July 2008, the primary section now has 25 students in two classrooms with world class facilities including, an interactive smart board and digital projector in each classroom, auditorium, music studio, gymnasium, clinic, computer laboratory, science/art laboratory, library and a play area.

 

Curriculum (Montessori, IPC and CIPP)

 

At Beacon our strategy is to ensure a thematic approach to learning coupled with a more formal approach towards the three core areas: English, Mathematics and Science. The thematic approach to learning is delivered through the content and philosophy of the International Primary Curriculum (UK), while the three core areas will be delivered through the content and assessment prescribed by the Cambridge International Primary Program.

       Worked with Microsoft Office applications
